The barbershop quartet 4/4 The Show then stepped up to the stage and gave us a couple beautifully harmonized tunes, then led us to the games room, where they changed hats and sat down to deal poker and blackjack! Our other wonderful volunteer dealers and raffle ticket sellers included Buffy Wallace, Malcolm Stanley, Julain Molnar and Shawna van Omme. The games were provided by Jerry Heartz, who also stepped in to deal to the eager gamblers.

The Haviland Club bartenders “Shooter” and “Slick Spurs”, kept our guest well lubricated while 4/4 The Show took breaks from dealing cards to dealing out some more wonderful songs.

The gamblers took their winning to the auction room, where we had a lively bidding war and auctioned some wonderful prizes.

The night was rounded out nicely with entertainment by John Connolly, Hank Stinson, Heidi Jury and 4/4 the Show.

The money raised will help Atlantic Smile Theatre bring Flash In The Pan and another popular show, Amazing Gracie, written and performed by islanders Pamela Campbell and Nancy Beck, to seniors’ homes across the island.
