This year brings changes to Smile Theatre. Tom Carson, General & Artistic Manager, is leaving to pursue his work with children and youth at the end of this season (May 2008). The Board of Directors thanks Tom for his significant contribution to the company's operational growth and artistic success.

Given Tom's planned departure, the Board has hired Jim Betts, an award-winning member of the Canadian musical theatre scene, as Smile’s new Artistic Director.

The board is currently accepting resumes for the position of General Manager. This person will work in partnership with Jim to facilitate his fresh and brilliant ideas for Smile Theatre, and provide operational leadership to further build the company.

This is an exciting new phase for Smile as our audience continues to grow and the availability of high quality entertainment is seen as an important part of an individual's overall well-being.
