After the success of “Showstoppers”, we knew that another concert show, conceived and performed by Sandra Margolese, was in order. We would now like the opportunity to put a smile on your face and a song in your heart as Sandra and pianist Brian Hayman perform a selection of heart-warming favourites on a “smile” theme, including: Smile, With a Wink and a Smile, and the title tune, With a Smile and a Song. So please, Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and Smile, Smile, Smile!
The Artists
Sandra Margolese, creation & vocals
Sandra is thrilled to be on the road again with her new concert show, With a Smile and a Song. Most recently, she brought back the music and life of Rosemary Clooney in her one-woman show, Everything’s Coming Up Rosie. She has worked on over a dozen shows for Smile: as an assistant to the late Tom Kneebone, as a director, writer, actor, concert singer and administrator. Other performing credits include: Phantom of the Opera (Pantages Theatre), Pirates of Penzance, Mikado, and Vaudeville (Drayton Entertainment), The Music Man (Theatre Aquarius), and Fiddler on the Roof (Huron Country Playhouse). Sandra has recorded a Jazz CD with Juno winning producer Peter Mann and is heard singing her original folk/pop tunes on This Old Harbour Town CD. Later this year, Sandra will be releasing a new CD and concert tour, Goody 2 Shoes Blues.
Brian Hayman, keyboard
 Brian is an organization development consultant and President of “Getting in the Groove”, a unique entertainment and learning experience that explores the knowledge behind the magic of jazz improvisation and it’s implications for enhancing organizational performance. He is also an accomplished pianist and member of The Oakville Jazz Ensemble, performing regularly at The Arbour Café and a variety of venues throughout Southern Ontario.
