Right now Smile Theatre is at a very special moment in its history, a time when growth is happening all around us. These changes are causing us all to reflect on both our past, where we came from, and our hopes for the future. When we think of Smile Theatre’s foundation many of us think immediately of Tom Kneebone. Our fans and donors have shared with us their memories, for many of you he personified the Smile experience. It seems that every one who knew him was affected by his zealous personality and his infectious passion. For this reason it seems entirely fitting that he should continue to play a part in ensuring the future of Smile Theatre.

We have created the Tom Kneebone Legacy Society in his honor. In recognition of our beginnings and with promise for our future, this special society of Smile enthusiasts has been created. This group began with our board and staff, who were the first to join, and joining is simple, all it entails is making a commitment that you intend to include Smile Theatre in your will. Making a bequest may be the easiest way you can make an immense impact on the future of Smile.

Smile Theatre has been going strong for over 30 years, but what are our dreams for Smile in the next 30 years? We are aiming for smiles that reach coast to coast, north to south. We envision visiting more remote areas that pose geographical limitations for seniors. We want to create a legacy, so that each future generation will have Smile Theatre in their lives to brighten their days. We all know that Smile plays a critical role in the lives of others. In speaking to our donors they often express how they wish that they had the ability to do more, their belief in Smile was not adequately expressed in the gift they were able to give. Now there is a way you can make a lasting impact, guaranteeing Smile for future generations and inspiring more smiles with your generosity.

When you make your commitment you become a member of the Tom Kneebone Legacy Society. Our development staff will help you to plan your gift so that you can see the future impact of your generosity. Tom Kneebone Legacy Society members will also be invited to an annual event so that we may have the opportunity to recognize your support and of course so we can all share our TK stories!
